India lost to Australia in the first ODI for 34 runs in the ODI series. Except Rohit’s 133 knock nobody could bat properly. Though Dhoni’s half century forged a bit of partnership with Rohit. Shikhar Dhawan & Ambati Rayudu got out for ducks. Kohli also did not have any answers for Australia’s brilliant bowling attack and he got out only for 3 runs.

One can say that Indian team was not in right set of mind to play this ODI from the beginning when they lost 3 wickets in first 4 overs. Only Rohit & Dhoni’s partnership built the innings to some extent but later on India lost wickets continuously. Though Bhubaneswar Kumar’s knock of 29 of 23 tried to revive the chase but it came too late and too little to help in winning the game for India.

All said and done may be Pandya’s unsolicited sexist comment against weaker sex in the talk show “Koffee with Karan” may have jinxed the India Cricket Team’s chances in the ongoing ODI series. It should be mentioned here that Pandya later on apologised regarding his comments in twitter and also BCCI has already taken action against him by debarring him from playing in the ODI series. Pandya should have thought before opening his mouth against weaker sex like a dumb. Sometimes it feels like he got high from his recent success in international success and IPL series . The name and fame may have got into his head a bit earlier than usual and he lacks maturity in handling questions from unscrupulous people who thrive on controversy.

All this have created a bad omen for Indian team and hence the end result is India’s loss today in the ODI to Australia.
